In contrast to traditional anaesthesia, which involves an entire area, intraligamental anaesthesia is less invasive and less bothersome. In fact, the anaesthetic is locally injected directly into the ligament of the tooth; this ensures rapid, deep, and total anaesthesia of an individual tooth.
